Investment Committee

Nicholas J. Welsh, CFA
Prior to joining LK&A in 1995, Mr. Welsh was an Associate in the Corporate Finance department of Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. where he specialized in merger and acquisition advisory assignments and corporate new issues of equity and debt financings. Mr. Welsh graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance in 1988. In addition, Mr. Welsh received a scholarship from Georgetown University for his work as director of the business school’s computer laboratory. Mr. Welsh has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation by the CFA Institute. He lives in Pasadena with his wife and two of his three children while his oldest continues his education at Georgetown.

Michael C. Stewart, CFA
Prior to joining LK&A in 2010, Mr. Stewart spent seven years as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley where he managed portfolios for high net worth families and institutions. He also worked as an Institutional Trading Manager at Seaport Global Securities, formerly GHS, an energy-centric investment bank, where he managed the firm’s sales and trading efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Stewart graduated from the University of Southern California where he was awarded the President’s Distinction for Leadership while taking part in the school’s Business Scholars Program. He earned his BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance in May 2002. Mr. Stewart has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation by the CFA Institute.

Trading and Operations

Alex Tescher
Prior to joining Lawrence Kelly & Associates, Inc. in 1991, Mrs. Tescher was a registered Sales Assistant with Morgan Stanley & Co. from 1986 to 1991 and with Kidder, Peabody & Co. from 1985 to 1986. Ms. Tescher also served in both the Compliance and Operations departments of Kidder, Peabody starting in 1982.
Julie Sutter
Julie began her financial career as an editor at a market research firm, later working for Roger Engemann & Associates in Pasadena. Julie has since worked in operations, maintaining accounts and facilitating client transactions, and has been with LK&A for the last 19 years.
Kim McCoy
Kim joined LK&A in 1997 and has built long-lasting relationships with clients over her 20+ years at the firm. In her role, she provides administrative support for client meetings and works with both front and back offices to ensure daily operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
